South Ossetia is a strategic ally of Russia and ensuring its security and socio-economic stability meets the long-term interests of Russia, said Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak at the meeting with President of the Republic Alan Gagloev and thanked him for the opportunity to see the facilities being built as part of the investment program.
“Today we are witnessing the emergence of a multipolar and more equitable world order. This opens up the opportunities for the development of national production, trade and economic cooperation,” Novak said.

The State Security Committee of South Ossetia called on the population of the Republic to remain vigilant in connection with the difficult socio-political situation in Georgia.

More than a hundred scientists from Russia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia were united by the international conference “Between North and South: the Caucasus as a link of civilizations” at the North Caucasus Federal University.
