By adopting the Georgian resolution the UN General Assembly obstructed the discussion of the problem of refugees at the Geneva talks - Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia
The main goal of the Georgian authorities, who, since 2009 have been submitting the resolution on refugees to the UN General Assembly, is the desire to demonstrate in this paper as if South Ossetia and Abkhazia are the parts of Georgia. This was stated by Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia on the post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, commenting on the UN General Assembly`s adoption of the resolution on "The status of internally displaced persons and refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia, and the Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia, Georgia."
