The Delegation of Geneva Co-Chairmen arrived in South Ossetia, including the EU Envoy Pierre Morel, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Special Representative Charalampos Christopoulos, UN Secretary General' Special Representative Johann Verbeke, Deputy Director of the UNHCR Udo Janz and others. In Tskhinval, the delegation met with the RSO Foreign Minister Murat Djioev, Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev, and others.

As underlined by Boris Chochiev, the situation at the borderline between South Ossetia and Georgia was complicated. "This was linked to the cases of abduction of our citizens by the Georgian side, to security issues and prompt informing through the "hotline". Unfortunately, we still have no information about the fate of our citizens abducted by power structures of Georgia. We have plenty of questions regarding the format of the meetings within the frames of Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism ".
In his turn, Pierre Morel noted that today's meeting was a good opportunity to discuss acute issues: "We are ready to meet your proposals on non-use of force. We do stand for meeting for the sake of meeting, and as Co-Chairs, we are doing our best to achieve concrete results". The meeting continued behind closed door.
The seventh round of Geneva discussions on security in the Caucasus will take place on 17 September.
