The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity met with the workers whom some of the subcontractor organizations, engaged in the reconstruction works, did not pay salaries to. The main emphasis was placed on the problems of the constructors who entered into a contract with the state unitary enterprise "Directorate for implementation of priority national projects. The RSO Prosecutor General's Office has initiated a criminal suit against the Director of the above state unitary enterprise, Ismagil Karimov, and the bank accounts of the enterprise have been arrested. As a result, the enterprise owes the workers their salary for a period since early 2010.
The president assured the workers that the arrest of the bank accounts would be lifted to pay out the salary debts and representatives of the state unitary enterprise and the Ministry of Justice would ensure that the workers personally receive the salaries. "This work should start from the next week", stated the president addressing the representative of the state unitary enterprise (SUE).
Eduard Kokoity informed that a different construction agency would be established to replace the SUE, and the staff of the SUE would be receiving salaries upon completion and hand-over of the rehabilitated or reconstructed sites to the state customer – the State Committee for Rehabilitation in South Ossetia. "The SUE will not receive any other funding than that of the salaries for the technical staff, before there is a detailed reported submitted to the state customer for the fund already received", said the president.
