Today the new Central Election Committee of the Republic has started its work in South Ossetia. As the Chairman of the Central Election Committee Bella Plieva has informed the news agency "Res", the committee-men held their first session, where the Vice-Chairman and the Secretary were elected. Plieva has noticed that along with establishing the Central Election Committee the presidential election campaign also started in the Republic. The elections will take place in November, 2011 «We are ready to carry out both the presidential elections and the referendum in November.
Now the initiative groups and representatives of political parties on registration the presidential candidates of South Ossetia may address to the Committee. The registration will come to an end at 18:00 on October, - 35 days prior to the elections», - the head of the Central Election Committee of the RSO has informed. It should be reminded, that the presidential election and the referendum about the Russian language status in South Ossetia are planned for November, 13, 2011.
