The visits of the Russian delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev to South Ossetia are of planned nature and are not related to a possible escalation of tension in the South Caucasus.
This was stated by President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov during the meeting with the heads of ministries and agencies of the Republic.

He has noted that there are rumors in the society of a possible aggravation of the situation in the region and they connect this with the visits of the Russian delegation to the Republic.
"The visits are associated with the work on implementation of the agreements reached during my meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin. And the work in this direction will be continued ", - assured the president.
He reminded that in 2014 the Olympic Games would be held in Sochi and all the territory bordering the venue should be prepared for such a significant event.
"But we are not talking about the expected aggravation of the situation", - said Tibilov.
He addressed the meeting "do not draw the conclusions which are irritating our society."
He also noted that the planned visits of the Russian Federation would be continued - in the coming days is expected the visit of the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova and Deputy Secretary of Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev to South Ossetia.
