Celebrations timed to the Day of Russia's recognition of the independence of the Republic have started in South Ossetia.
The state awards presentation ceremony of citizens of South Ossetia, who made a significant contribution to strengthening the South Ossetian statehood, has been held today in Tskhinval.
As IA "Res" has been reported by the State Councilor on International and Public Protocol of the RSO President Janna Zasseeva, tomorrow the activities will be continued by presidential levee, where will be invited former members of the Ossetian peacekeeping battalion of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.
"On the day of recognition of independence of the Republic – August 26, the events will begin with opening the art gallery in Tskhinval ''With love for Russia ...'' , as well as the theme book exhibition, prepared by the State Committee of Information, Communications and Mass Media" - told Zasseeva.
According to the State Councilor, the central event of the day will be a grand meeting of the leadership and the public "Forever with Russia!".
"After the meeting on the Peacekeepers street in Tskhinval will begin the Dancing Kaleidoscope. Then the gala concert of the pop group ''Fidaen'' will take place at the Theatre Square, after which here will be continued the dancing kaleidoscope "- said Zasseeva.
She has added that the events will be completed by fireworks.
