The Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia David Sanakoev discussed with the Abkhazian counterpart Vyacheslav Chirikba prospects of cooperation between the two countries. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, the meeting was held today at the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of South Ossetia to Abkhazia, on the occasion of the Independence Day and the 20th anniversary of the victory of the Abkhazian people in the Patriotic War 1992-1993.

"During the meeting have been discussed the prospects of cooperation between South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The parties expressed their mutual intention to continue a substantial political dialogue, strengthening the traditionally friendly and fraternal relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, and also emphasized the importance of further expansion and deepening of cooperation between the diplomatic authorities of the two countries ", - said the official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Irakli Khintba.
