The South Ossetian delegation, as well as the leadership of the Republic of Abkhazia took part in the ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the memorial to the first President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba in Lower Esher, reported the correspondent of IA "Res" Inga Chekhoeva, participating in the celebration of Liberation Day.
The Ossetian delegation, headed by Attorney General of South Ossetia Uruzmag Dzhagae, has also included Minister of Defense of South Ossetia Ibrahim Gasseev, Minister of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Lavoev. The wreath-laying ceremony was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev, as well as the Embassy staff.
A wreath at the memorial also laid invalids of war in South Ossetia, led by the president of the "Fund to support the wounded, who became disabled during the fighting on the territory of South Ossetia in 1989-2008," Madina Plieva.
The delegation of South Ossetia has arrived in Abkhazia to celebrate the Liberation Day of the Republic of Abkhazia, which is celebrated on September 30. The delegation is taking part in the celebrations, commemorative and celebratory events to be held in Sukhum and other districts of the Republic.
Vladislav Ardzinba is the national hero of the people of Abkhazia. He headed the Abkhazian liberation war in 1992-1993 against armed aggression of Georgia. The first president was able to defend the national interests of the Fatherland, the honor and dignity of his nation.
Ardzinba died in March 2010.
