The units of the Southern Military Districtin 2019 will take part in a number of international exercises, the press service of the Southern Military District reports with reference to the meeting of the Military Council, which was held on Saturday under the leadership of Colonel-General Alexander Dvornikov, commander of the Southern Military District.
"In the summer period of training, the troops of the Southern Military District will face intensive combat training. The main result of more than 300 exercises at various levels will be command and staff exercises at the operational level," the report said.
Joint exercises of military bases and armed forces of the Republics of Armenia and South Ossetia are also planned.
