The State Security Committee of South Ossetia is implementing a set of measures to suppress the activities of foreign special services to the detriment of the security of South Ossetia.

According to the press service of the department, within the framework of this work, was identified a resident of Leningor settlement, who maintained stable contacts with a representative of the Georgian special services, on whose instructions he collected and transmitted information regarding military personnel, as well as the socio-political situation in the border regions of the Republic.

"Taking into account that the materials handed over to the Georgian side do not constitute a state secret, that is, the actions of a resident of Leningor settlement have not actually damaged the security of the RSO, on October 21, 2020, the State Security Committee has issued an official warning to the said person about the inadmissibility of actions that form the conditions for committing a crime under Article 275 of the RF Criminal Code "High Treason", the press service said.

The KGB draws the attention of the citizens of the RSO: before committing an unlawful act, think about administrative and criminal liability for violation of the law.
