The annual "Pushkin Ball", timed to coincide with the World Poetry Day, took place on Tuesday in the Tskhinval school No 6. The event was organized with the support of the "Russian World" cabinet at the educational institution, headed by Inna Zubko.
The guests of the festive event were the Ambassador of Russia to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic, President of the Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature of South Ossetia Zalina Tedeeva, lectors of the South Ossetian State University.
The event was dedicated to the life and work of Alexander Pushkin, focusing on the most productive creative period in the life of the great poet - "Boldin Autumn". It was attended by schoolchildren of all ages, including an elementary school led by a teacher Aida Dzhabieva. This was the first performance of the youngest participants, which left no one indifferent.
It was noted that in November last year, the educational institution planned to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the "Boldin Autumn", but due to quarantine, the event had to be postponed. "We were also in quarantine, like Alexander Sergeevich for three long months at the Boldino estate."
The program included musical and dance performances, recitation of Pushkin's poems, stage performances ... Thanks to the artistry and efforts of schoolchildren, the audience was able to plunge into the Pushkin era.
The main part of the event was a ball, during which girls in ball gowns and boys in formal suits began to spin in a waltz.
The Pushkin Ball turned out to be bright and will be remembered for a long time by both schoolchildren and guests of the evening.
