The 10th tournament in complex single combat among the security forces of the Republic of South Ossetia "Peace Special Forces Against Terror and Drug Threats" was held on Saturday in Tskhinval at the "Olympus" Sports Palace. The tournament was attended by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov, the press service of the head of state reports.
The event was organized by the Federation of Integrated Martial Arts led by Soslan Tedety.
The tournament was attended by teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense and the State Security Service. The composition of the participants was quite representative, it was attended by the world champion in all-style karate, prize-winners of the largest international tournaments in hand-to-hand fighting and grappling, etc.
The head of state wished all the participants good luck, noting that such sports events contribute to the development of sports and a healthy lifestyle.
Anatoly Bibilov also congratulated everyone on the Day of Russia.
“We are celebrating a great holiday - the Day of Russia. If it were not for the help and support of the Russian Federation, which it has been providing to South Ossetia, we would not have had the opportunity today to be in this sports complex and hold such tournaments, ”the President said.
