For the first time since November last year, South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee detected 43 new cases of coronavirus (27 were detected last Friday), the incidence continues to grow in the Republic, the head of the department Marina Kochieva told the IA "Res" on Monday.
Based on the results of tests conducted on Friday evening, out of 152 samples, 43 showed a positive result. New data for Monday will be known only on Tuesday morning.
"The epidemiological situation has worsened, of course it is necessary to observe security measures - mask regime, social distance, to avoid attending mass events. All this is very important," said the chief sanitary doctor.
According to her, as of July 5, 158 people are under the supervision of doctors, one person has been removed from the register of doctors.
"Everyone should understand their responsibility, our situation depends on all of us. Patients should stay at home, not self-medicate, apply to doctors ..." - said Kochieva.
The number of the infected people since the beginning of the pandemic is 3563, 3405 have recovered. In total, during the pandemic in South Ossetia, 24,475 tests were carried out for coronavirus infection.
In the Republic, since the beginning of May, the population is being vaccinated against the coronavirus free of charge by the Russian Sputnik V.
