The Delegation of South Ossetia headed by Anatoly Bibilov honored the memory of the South Ossetian volunteers in Abkhazia

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov laid flowers at the monument to volunteers from the Republic of South Ossetia who died in the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia, the press service of the head of state reports.

The ceremony was attended by members of the South Ossetian delegation, the RA Vice-President Badra Gunba, the RA Foreign Minister Daur Kove, veteran volunteers from South Ossetia.

"Answering the questions of Abkhaz journalists about the Abkhaz-South Ossetian relations, Anatoly Bibilov has noted that the feat of volunteers and the common struggle for freedom oblige the current generation of the two republics to support each other and build relations in all spheres," the press service said.

A delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia headed by President Anatoly Bibilov arrived in the Republic of Abkhazia on a visit to participate in the celebration of the Victory and Independence Day.

Within the framework of the visit, negotiations are planned between the President of South Ossetia and the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, as well as negotiations in an expanded format with the participation of members of the governments of the two countries.

The South Ossetian delegation has included Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, Defense Minister Ibragim Gasseev, Presidential Adviser Dmitry Atroshchenko.
