On Sunday, Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev sent a congratulatory message to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh David Babayan on the occasion of the Artsakh Revival Day.
"The fateful decision of the Karabakh Armenians to reunite with Armenia, adopted on February 20, 1988 by the people's deputies of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region, not only became a turning point in the recent history of Artsakh, but also changed the fate of the entire world Armenian community in many ways," the congratulatory telegram reads . “The escalation of violence by Azerbaijan that followed this historic act of democratic will of the people of Artsakh confirmed the irreversibility of the liberation struggle, forcing the courageous people of Artsakh to defend their national identity, their right to a peaceful and free life in their beautiful ancient land.”
Medoev is convinced that unbroken will, invincible military spirit, civic consciousness and national unity will always be the key to the success of the people of Artsakh on the path of revival, prosperity and achievement of the highest goals.
