Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev received on Thursday the new head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic Drago Slav Blazhevich, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia reported.
“During the conversation, the head of the ICRC Representative Office presented information on the activities of the organization for 2021, in particular, the humanitarian programs that the International Committee of the Red Cross is implementing in accordance with its mandate, and outlined the planned projects for 2022.
An exchange of views also took place on some other topical issues of mutual interest,” the press service said.
Dmitry Medoev positively assessed the activities of the ICRC in South Ossetia and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
Dragoslav Blazevic thanked the Ministry for providing constant assistance and assured that they would continue cooperation in resolving humanitarian issues, including the issues of missing persons.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia T. Dzhidzhoev.
