Residents of the Tskhinval district of South Ossetia provided financial assistance to the refugees from the Donetsk People's Republic who left the conflict zone. Valery Bibilov, Deputy Head of the District Administration, told the IA “Res” that they wanted to provide assistance to the people who left the war from the day they arrived.
"The District Administration had a long consultation, deciding how to help. Residents of the District bring food, fruits, clothes, the state is taking care of the guests, and we decided to support the refugees with money so that they themselves could buy what they need," Bibilov said.
According to him, the residents of the area were enthusiastic about the fundraising news.
“Many residents of our district extended a helping hand, and the amount of 300 thousand rubles was collected, which we have already given to the refugees. Here, every resident remembers the help of Russia, and we will never turn away from people who need the same help from us,” he stressed.
Bibilov wished the refugees of the DPR a speedy peace in their homeland, noting that the residents of South Ossetia know from their own experience how hard it is for them now.
It should be reminded that in the Republic there are 42 internally displaced persons from the DPR, 24 are children. They are accommodated in the Victoria Hotel; the children are studying in the Tskhinval School No. 3.
