More than 40 international observers will be monitoring the upcoming presidential elections in South Ossetia, which are scheduled for April 10. This was reported to the “Res” news agency by the CEC Secretary Kristina Avlokhova.

According to her, South Ossetia is waiting for the arrival of delegations from Abkhazia, the Lugansk People's Republic and the Russian Federation, including representatives of North Ossetia.

“Representatives of the CEC of North Ossetia and Abkhazia, the State Duma of Russia, public chambers of Russia, Abkhazia and others confirmed their desire to participate in the elections as international observers,” Avlokhova said.

On April 10, the current head of state Anatoly Bibilov, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Pliev, leader of the political party "Nyhas" Alan Gagloev, deputy Garry Muldarov and former deputy Dmitry Tasoev will be competing for the highest state post of the Republic.
