President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov has met with members of the delegation of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, who arrived in the Republic as international observers for the presidential elections in South Ossetia, the press service of the head of state reported.
The delegation has included: Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on the Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations Vladimir Zorin, Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on the Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations Vladimir Lagkuev, First Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Council at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Public Control over Voting Alexander Malkevich, member of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Security and Interaction with the ONC Ivan Abzher, Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Council at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for Public control of Voting Alena Bulgakova, member of the Public Chamber of the Samara region Rostik Khugaev, other officials.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of South Ossetia Sergey Kudziev.
Greeting the guests, the President expressed satisfaction with their interaction with colleagues.
"The exchange of experience and the establishment of relations contribute to the development of civil society. I cannot but express my satisfaction with the close interaction that we have," he said.
Anatoly Bibilov also thanked the guests for participating in such an important process for South Ossetia - the election of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia.
In turn, Vladimir Zorin thanked the head of the South Ossetian state for the warm welcome and noted that the role of civil society was very important.
He has also stressed that the recent amendments to the current Constitution of the Russian Federation have strengthened the role of civil society.
At the same time, the members of the delegation expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation.
