President Anatoly Bibilov has received a delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia, which arrived in South Ossetia as international observers for the presidential elections in South Ossetia, the press service of the head of state reported.
The delegation has included representatives of the deputy corps, the Public Chamber and the RA CEC.
The RA Ambassador to South Ossetia Alan Elbakiev also took part in the meeting.
Greeting the guests, Anatoly Bibilov thanked them for their visit to the Republic and conveyed his best wishes to the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya.
“It is always nice when fraternal states are interested in the political processes that are taking place in South Ossetia. Relations between our peoples have been developing over the centuries,” the President said and thanked for the attention that Abkhazia renders to South Ossetia.
For his part, the RA Minister of Emergency Situations Lev Kvitsinia thanked the head of the South Ossetian state for the warm welcome, noting that the Abkhazians are not indifferent to the political processes taking place in South Ossetia.
“We could not but be present here on this significant day for South Ossetia. The Abkhaz people have always supported and will continue to support the choice of the people of South Ossetia,” he said.
The member of the People's Assembly - Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia Omar Jinjolia, in turn, has stressed that the processes taking place in South Ossetia have a great future.
President Anatoly Bibilov has also received the delegation from the Lugansk People's Republic, which arrived in the Republic as international observers for the presidential elections in South Ossetia.
The delegation was headed by Denis Kolesnikov, Chairman of the LPR People's Council Committee on International Relations, Communications, Information Policy and Mass Communications.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the RSO Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Legality and Local Self-Government Alan Gabatty.
Greeting the guests, Anatoly Bibilov thanked them for their visit to the Republic and conveyed his best wishes to the head of the Lugansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik.
“We are watching the events that are taking place in the Lugansk People's Republic. Nazism, neo-Nazism, nationalism in the most perverted form that the Ukrainian authorities show, of course, cannot but disturb us. Europe has always been committed to double standards under the command of America,” the President said and wished success to the peoples of Donbass and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in fulfilling this difficult task.
For his part, Denis Kolesnikov thanked Anatoly Bibilov for the warm welcome and conveyed a welcoming speech from the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik.
“I want to thank the guys, volunteers who came to defend our borders and the borders of our common Motherland. The guys are on one of the front lines, showing courage and bravery. They are of great help to us in the name of freedom.
We have already visited the polling stations, the warmth radiated from the residents is the value for which we live,” he said.
Anatoly Bibilov wished victory to the people of Donbass.
“We understand how difficult it is. As they say, our cause is just. The enemy will be defeated. Victory will be ours!" the President said.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorial gifts.
