Observers from Russia have no comments on the presidential elections in South Ossetia, said Vladimir Plyakin, member of the Russian delegation of observers, еру State Duma deputy.
"We were somewhere in five polling stations. Everything was quite quiet and calm at the five polling stations, that is, there are no any comments from our side," Plyakin told reporters.
According to him, everything is well organized, everywhere the ballot boxes are sealed, everything is done according to the rules.
On Sunday, 76 polling stations in the country and abroad opened at 08:00 local time and will close at 20:00.
Five candidates are vying for the post of head of the Republic: the current head of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, who has been holding this post since April 2017, as well as the leader of the Nykhas party, Alan Gagloev, former Parliament deputy Dmitry Tasoev, deputy Garry Muldarov, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Alexander Pliev.
