A delegation of South Ossetia headed by President Alan Gagloev is taking part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Forum has started on Wednesday, and the official opening - a plenary session, in which President of South Ossetia will also take part - will take place on June 15.
The Forum will run until June 17.
As part of the large-scale event, a number of agreements will be signed with the regions of the Russian Federation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, socio-cultural spheres.
Since 2005, the Forum is held under the auspices of President of the Russian Federation.
This year, the SPIEF will be held under the slogan "Sovereign Development is the Basis for a Just World. Let's Unite Efforts for the Sake of Future Generations."
Despite the growing confrontation between Russia and the countries of Europe and the USA in recent years, the Forum, as before, gathers guests from many countries of the world, and on the pages of the world press the event is referred to as "Russian Davos".
