In May, 49 violators were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia. Of these, ten violated the regime of the state border, and 39 violated the border regime, the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic reports.
As noted by the department, the KGB Border Service conducted investigations on each fact of violation of legal regimes.
“The violators were subjected to administrative measures with explanatory work, during which 18 people were subjected to the administrative fine, three people were subjected to administrative expulsion, 21 people were warned, criminal cases were initiated against two people. The decision has not been made on five citizens,” the press service said.
The KGB Border Guard Service also informs citizens and guests of the republic planning their trips to recreation areas located in the border zone of South Ossetia about the need to have identity documents with them: passport, service certificate, for minors — birth certificate, and for foreign citizens — also passes to the border zone.
