Activists of the youth wing of the Nykhas party plan to install the art object in the Pioneer Park of Tskhinval with the states indexes that recognized the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
As Stanislav Abaev, one of the youth wing participants told the “Res” news agency, the art object will become a photo zone for residents and guests of the Republic.
“The art object is being installed as a sign of gratitude to the countries that supported South Ossetia. The event is held jointly with the youth social movement “Phoenix”. We will begin installing the art object next week,” he has noted.
On August 26, 2008, after Georgia’s armed aggression against Tskhinval, Russia recognized the sovereignty of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Russian leaders have repeatedly stated that the recognition of the independence of the republics reflects the existing realities and is not subject to revision.
