The Museum of the South Ossetian State University has been replenished with three valuable antique exhibits, the press service of the University informed the IA “Res”.

“The exhibits were donated to the Museum of Ethnography and Local History by the citizens of South Ossetia Aron Tadtaev, Murat Kelekhsaev and Larisa Margieva,” the press service said.

As noted, Aron Tadtaev donated a carbine manufactured in 1884 in excellent condition, and Murat Kelekhsaev brought the antique samurai sword.

“Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out the appropriate procedures for the transfer of the above-mentioned rifled firearms to the South Ossetian State University. Larisa Margieva donated a silver coin manufactured in 1924 to the Museum,” the University has noted.

The museum complex of the South Ossetian State University was created in 2019 on the initiative of Rector Vadim Tedeev. It has included a museum of ethnography and local history, a zoology museum, and an art exhibition hall.
