A resident of the Georgian city of Gori, violated the state border of South Ossetia, was fined by the court decision and subsequently deported, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

“On September 10, 2024, a citizen of Georgia, Dzhokhadze Ucha Goderdzievich, born in 1981, a resident of Gori, was detained by the employees of the South Ossetian border authorities for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic.

It was established that the said violator got lost and accidentally crossed the state border of the Republic with Georgia in the vicinity of the settlement of Amdzarin, Leningor district,” the statement of the press service reads.

The KGB has noted that on September 13, Dzhokhadze was found guilty by the Tskhinval City Court of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of South Ossetia "On Administrative Liability for Violations in the Field of Protecting the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia" and was sentenced to a fine with administrative expulsion.
