South Ossetia is moving to the stage of economic development, the implementation of the project to open the canning factory has become possible thanks to the assistance of Russia, with the help of which we restored the Republic, and now we will be developing it, President of the Republic Alan Gagloev said at the opening of a new enterprise in the village of Pris.
"The opening of the plant is of great importance for South Ossetia. The company's products will be in demand not only in South Ossetia, but also beyond its borders. More than 200 jobs will be created here. This is very important for our Republic, so we count on the successful implementation of this project," the head of state has noted.
According to him, the revival of the agro-industrial complex is one of the priority areas of the Republic's economy, since success in this industry will have a multifaceted effect and will contribute to the development of agriculture in South Ossetia.
"People should have the opportunity to sell their products for further processing on a permanent basis, and all conditions should be created here. This will give a serious impetus to rural residents to expand their business," the President has emphasized.
Alan Gagloev added that "it is well known in what conditions residents of South Ossetia are in the rural areas."
"Therefore, the opening of such a large-scale project is, one might say, a historic event, the result of the work of the new leadership of the Republic," he has noted.
The opening ceremony of the plant was attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov and other officials.
