The South Ossetian Migration Department reported on the work done in 2024.
The event was attended by Minister of Internal Affairs Alan Guchmazov and his Deputy Gennady Laliev, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
“Over the year, 341 foreign citizens were registered and recorded in the department. The department’s inspectors conducted 74 raids, checked 555 households at pre-determined addresses of temporary residence of foreign citizens and revealed 93 violations of the Republic’s migration legislation,” the press service has noted.
Of these, 91 were fined for violating the rules of stay in the Republic, and a decision was made to shorten the period of stay and be administratively expelled two people from the Republic, the department added.
