The scientific conference "Russia and South Ossetia in the Global World" was held in Tskhinval, bringing together the young scientists and researchers from both republics.
The event focused on the interaction between Russia and South Ossetia in the modern world, from historical aspects to prospects for further development.
Sergey Komissarov, Director of the Russian House in Tskhinval, emphasized the importance of the conference for young people.
"Young people are the future, the ones who will build relationships. Now they need to set the goals for themselves in order to further solving the Republic's problems and strengthen our international position," Komissarov told the "Res" news agency.
The participants presented the papers on various aspects of bilateral relations.
Following the presentations, a lively discussion took place, focusing on the current issues in the fields of economics, demography, and international relations.
Following the results, the organizers plan to prepare practical proposals that can be implemented with the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in South Ossetia.
This is the second conference of this format held with the support of the Russian House, which confirmed its intention to make the event the annual event.
The organizers expressed their desire to transform this research track into a permanent platform for strengthening contacts and interactions between young Ossetian scientists and their Russian colleagues.
The event was organized by the community of young scientists of South Ossetia, led by Georgy Shavlokhov, a graduate student in the history department at the North Ossetian State University, and the Russian House in Tskhinval
