South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko discussed healthcare cooperation.
The meeting took place at the Russian Ministry of Health.
During the discussion, the parties addressed the current and future healthcare cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to improving the quality of medical care and introducing modern technologies in South Ossetia's healthcare system with the assistance of Russian specialists.
Alan Gagloev expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his decision to allocate funds from his Fund for the purchase of necessary medical equipment to assist citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia. He also thanked First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko and Health Minister Mikhail Murashko for their comprehensive support, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in ensuring high levels of healthcare in South Ossetia.
Minister Mikhail Murashko has noted that Russia is prepared to further develop bilateral cooperation by providing the necessary assistance in implementing medical projects aimed at improving the quality of life of South Ossetian citizens.
Following the meeting, the agreement was reached to hold a series of working meetings to develop specific steps for implementing the agreements in the healthcare sector in the Republic of South Ossetia.
