During the evening local TV debates the presidential candidate of South Ossetia Merab Chigoev has addressed to the voters with the statement that he removed his candidacy in the forthcoming presidential elections in favour of the party «Unity» candidate for the Presidency Anatoly Bibilov. «There is a candidate among us who is enjoying the confidence of the Russian Federation. I`ve made a decision to withdraw my candidacy and support Anatoly Iljich Bibilov, a person who enjoys unconditional support of Russia and its leadership. I am addressing to my voters to support my decision and together with me and vote for Bibilov Anatoly Iljich», - Chigoev has declared. It is also said in the document: «In the conditions of restoration of our destroyed country, in the conditions of dissociation of our society, it is very important to make a correct choice.

In the period from 1 to November 9, 2011 employees of the FSS Border Control Agency of Russia in South Ossetia detained seven people for illegal crossing of the state border of South Ossetia: three of them - in Leningor District, 2 – in the settlement Dmenis of Tskhinval district and 2 - in Znaur District.

A lot of residential and administrative buildings were damaged during the Georgian aggression in 2008. Among them is also the Parliamentary building, which, after the fierce bombardment of the Georgian aggressors has been completely burned. Not so long ago, works on restoring the building have begun. The reconstruction is being carried out within the framework of the Investment Program to promote socio - economic development of South Ossetia. As we`ve been informed by the construction foreman Robert Nartikoev, no material changes will take place in shape of the building.

Promotion of vibrant cultural identity of the people of Ossetia and strengthening the intercultural relations in the North Caucasus has become one of the main ideas of organizers of the festival, which was held in the Russian capital for future Olympic Games - Sochi. During 10 days the prominent cultural figures of Russia, famous politicians and public figures, heads of the Ossetian diaspora from the Russian cities and Europe, the inhabitants of Sochi were participating in the festival "Days of the Ossetian culture in Sochi," timed to the tenth anniversary of the local Ossetian national cultural public organization "Alania".

Today, the film festival for teenagers and young adults under the name"...Teeners" is coming to an end in the capital of South Ossetia. The idea of holding the festival for adolescents and young people "...Teeners" in Tskhinval occurred to organizers of the annual Film Festival in 2009, while filming a documentary film about the August war in South Ossetia. This has been reported by the head of the charitable nonprofit foundation named after Valery Priemykhov Olga Kurbatskaya-one of the organizers of the festival, - at the press conference in Tskhinval.

Possibility of falsification of the voting results at the forthcoming presidential elections of South Ossetia on November, 13th has been discussed by presidential candidates of the RSO at the meeting in Tskhinval. As the candidate for the Presidency Georgy Kabisov has informed the news agency "RES", nine of the seventeen presidential candidates took part in the meeting: Alla Dzhioeva, Alan Pliev, Dzhemal Dzhigkaev, Inal Bazzaev, Igor Alborov, Ajvar Bestaev, Sergey Bitiev and Merab Chigoev, including Kabisov himself.

The Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has completed registration of candidates for the Presidency. As reported by the Central Election Committee to IA "RES", 17 citizens of the RSO will contest the presidency. «In total 30 initiative groups have addressed to the Central Election Committee. Thirteen of them have been refused registration, and 17 nominees will participate in the elections», - has been noted at the Central Election Committee. Besides, in day of voting 86 polling stations will be opened.

The delegation of South Ossetia, led by the President Eduard Kokoity, will take part in the festival «Days of the Ossetian culture in Sochi», which will be held from October, 21 till October, 28. As informed by the Ministry of Culture of the RSO to the news agency "RES", the South Ossetian State Song and Dance Ensemble "Simd", the singers: Vano Bekoev, Soslan Khasiev, Valery Bugulov- will also take part in the festival «Days of the Ossetian culture in Sochi"; the works of the South Ossetian artists, including the pictures of an outstanding Ossetian painter Makharbeg Tuganov», will be presented at the festival, too.

The international conference «Russia and Transcaucasia: safety and cooperation problems», will be opened today in Vladikavkaz. The organizers of the conference are: the Vladikavkaz Institute of Management together with the Center of informational technologies «Intellectual resources» of the Republic of South Ossetia, with financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the RSO; it will be conducted within two days from October, 14 to October, 15.

The Supreme Court of South Ossetia has made a decision to postpone consideration of the appeal of the initiative group, nominating the head coach of the Russian national team on free-style wrestling Dzhambolat Tedeev against the decision of the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia till October, 11. As the press-service of the Supreme Court of South Ossetia has informed IA RES «on October, 7 the Supreme Court of the RSO has made a decision to abandon the application of Dzhambolat Tedeev, as the norms of the remedial legislation have been violated at its drawing up. The representatives of the initiative group of Tedeev may correct the infringements till October, 11».
