Strategy for the RSO development to 2030 will be discussed at the round table in Tskhinval

January 21 the strategy for socio-economic development of South Ossetia to 2030 will be discussed at the round table in the South Ossetian capital. This was said by Economic Development Minister of the RSO Zalina Khugati at a meeting of the President of South Ossetia with the ministries and governmental agencies.
According to her, the strategy consists of several components.

Russia will continue to support South Ossetia. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin after a meeting with South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov.
"Russia will continue providing the necessary support to South Ossetia in strengthening its statehood, in addressing its economic and social problems. We will, as always, help creating conditions for better standard of living through creation of new jobs and revival of infrastructure, "- said the president of Russia.

The next meeting of the Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI), which is operating within the framework of the Geneva discussions on security in the Caucasus, is being held on the border of South Ossetia and Georgia.
The meeting is attended by representatives of South Ossetia, Georgia, Russia, EU and OSCE. South Ossetian delegation is headed by Deputy Presidential Envoy to South Ossetia on post-conflict resolution Khokh Gagloyty.

Today, February 29, the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has completed the registration of candidates for the presidency of the Republic. It has been reported to IA "Res" by the CEC of the Republic. "We have examined documents of 20 action groups and two political parties, nominated their candidates for the presidency. Eight presidential aspirants of the Republic have taken an exam: Deputy Minister of Defense Igor Alborov, Chairman of the Union of Afghan Veterans in South Ossetia, Murat Guchmazov, MP of the IV convocation Sergei Zasseev, MP of the II and IV convocations Kelekhsaev Vladimir, a former chief of Dzausky District Administration of South Ossetia Ruslan Bagaev, entrepreneurs Anatoly Dzhioev and Rustem Dzhioev, CEO of insurance company "Yugosetsotsstrakh" Felix Bitiev and Human Rights Ombudsman David Sanakoev.

Tonight, the CEC of South Ossetia will complete acceptance of applications from the action groups and political parties, nominating candidates for president of South Ossetia. In accordance with legislation, the action groups can begin collecting signatures in support of the nominated candidates since the date of issuance of the CEC certificate of registration. CEC is obliged to consider the documents within 10 days.

A regular meeting in the format of Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI) has started in the Georgian village of Dvani, which is bordering with South Ossetia. The meeting is held behind closed doors. As reported to IA "RES" by Deputy Presidential Envoy to the Republic, head of the delegation Merab Chigoev, the South Ossetian delegation once again will raise the issue of the missing persons of South Ossetia.
