South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has received a delegation of Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Nikiforova. During the meeting, Leonid Tibilov noted that South Ossetia and Transdniestria were friends for over 20 years and expressed confidence that this relationship would go on.
South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nicaragua in South Ossetia, Luis Alberto Molina Cuadro. During the meeting they discussed issues of cooperation and implementation the agreements on cooperation and visa-free travel signed between the two countries. The meeting was also attended by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Murat Dzhioev and the Ambassador of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Dmitry Medoev.
Leonid Tibilov has thanked the Ambassador of Nicaragua for his visit to the Republic, having noted that he instructed the Foreign Ministry to prepare proposals and make every effort to implement these agreements. "I am confident that we will continue our cooperation", - said the president. In turn, the Ambassador of Nicaragua expressed gratitude for his warm welcome in South Ossetia.
Since taking office by the new president of South Ossetia, the Government of the Republic has resigned. The last meeting of the current composition of the Cabinet has been held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Vadim Brovtsev. During the meeting, the cabinet members were briefed by the Finance Minister of South Ossetia Irina Sytnik on budgetary performance for the first quarter of 2012, approved the minutes of the Supervisory Board meeting on the special accounts expenditure and approved the investment program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2011-2013. The last for consideration was placed the question of resignation of the Government of the Republic.
