Today in the capital of South Ossetia in the Media Center "Ir" has taken place the signing of a cooperation agreement between the independent non-profit organization -"Academy of sociological analysis" and the South Ossetian Republican Public Organization "Iry Sombon." The document was signed by heads of the organizations - Alan Chochiev ("Academy of sociological analysis") and Vyacheslav Khoziev ("Iry Sombon").

August 10, 2008 Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin arrived in the North Ossetian capital Vladikavkaz, where he held a meeting to coordinate assistance to the refugees from South Ossetia.
"What is happening in South Ossetia - is the genocide of the Ossetian people, and legally Russia's actions in South Ossetia are fully justified", - Putin said.
The Russian Prime Minister described the situation in South Ossetia as the "humanitarian catastrophe."

August 10, 2013 at 10: 45 near the settlement of Artseu in Tskhinval district, in sight of the European Union observers, the Georgian Interior Ministry police car crossed the state border and penetrated into the territory of South Ossetia.

At about the midnight of August 9 there fell temporary lull in Tskhinval. As declared by the commander of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces Marat Kulakhmetov, the parties were preparing for the upcoming fighting at night.
At 1:15 the Chairman of the Committee for Information and Press of South Ossetia Irina Gagloeva reported that the Georgian troops had been completely ousted from the South Ossetian capital Tskhinval.

This year, the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in South Ossetia continued to provide social and economic assistance, both to human settlements and families. As the news agency "Res" was informed at the press service of the ICRC, from January to June 2013, the organization had transported 102 gravely sick patients to the health clinics in Georgia.

This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the State Committee of Information and Press of South Ossetia Vyacheslav Gobozov at yesterday's meeting of experts at the Media Centre "Ir", which participants had discussed the status of South Ossetia and the Republic as a whole, after five years of the Georgian aggression against South Ossetia in August 2008.
