Shot putter from Tskhinval Valeriy Kokoev with the national team of the Russian Federation went to the European Athletics Championship.

In Tskhinvalhas been held a meeting of the Russian interdepartmental working group on improving the legislation of South Ossetia with heads of the ministries and governmental agencies of the Republic. The meeting discussed the current state of legislation in South Ossetia and developing of a plan of measures aimed at its improvement.

Topical issues of South Ossetia and its foreign policy aspects were discussed at the round table in Tskhinval, held at the Media Center "IR." The round table was attended by leaders of social organizations, political parties, members of parliament and the government, as well as the experts of the Media Center "IR."

Chairman of the Belgian Association «Renaissance Sandidzan» (Revival) Radion Pukhaev was awarded with a certificate of honor "For vigorous activity in preserving the traditions and culture of the peoples of Russia, as well as for selfless labour toconsolidate the Ossetian communities in Europe."

Athlete from South Ossetia Alain Zaseev who is a member of the national team of Ukraine will perform in the upcoming European Wrestling Championship.

A native of South Ossetia Soslan Ramonov, a member of the national team of Russia won the silver medal of the tournament Freestyle Wrestling World Cup – 2013 held in Iran.

The Russian Federation will continue to support the statehood and sovereignty of the Republic of South Ossetia, regardless of the context of the Russian-Georgian relations. This has been stated by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia at a recent meeting in Moscow with Foreign Minister of South Ossetia David Sanakoev, who arrived in the Russian capital on an official visit together with the RSO Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev.
