A native of South Ossetia will perform in the European Wrestling Championship

Athlete from South Ossetia Alain Zaseev who is a member of the national team of Ukraine will perform in the upcoming European Wrestling Championship.

This was reported IA "Res" by the information-analytical department of the Committee on Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of South Ossetia.
"The right to participate in the European Championship, which starts on March 19, Zaseev received following the results of his performance in the XIX-th International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament held in Kiev February 15 - 18, dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian wrestlers and coaches," - said the information officer.
According to him, the Ossetian athlete has performed in the competition in the weight class up to 120 kg.
"In the final battle Zaseev met with the Ukrainian wrestler – a participant of the Olympic Games in London, Alexander Khutsyanovsky and defeated him soundly. The first period ended by the score of 7-0, and the second –by the score of 3:0 to the wrestler from South Ossetia. He has been performing in a weight class up to 120 kg recently. Previously Zaseev performed in the weight class up to 96 kilograms. "
Currently the athlete is a member of the freestyle wrestling national team of Ukraine in and trains in Kiev under the direction of the honored coach of Ukraine Yury Nazarenko.
In November 2012 in Vladikavkaz he won the 34 All-Russian Wrestling Tournament for the prizes of the twice Olympic champion Soslan Andiev.
Zaseev – is a winner of the 2005 European championship among juniors, the winner of the 2008 World Championship, silver medalist of the tournament Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin 2009, World Cup winner in 2009 and winner of the Odessa International Wrestling Tournament "Black Sea" 2011.
