First Deputy Prime Minister of South Ossetia held a meeting with representatives of the Red Cross

First Deputy Prime Minister Alan Dzhioev received the envoy of the International Committee of the Red Cross on missing persons in the Caucasus, Agnes Kotu, and the head of the ICRC office in the Republic, Said Assadullah.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the parties discussed issues related to the search for missing citizens of South Ossetia and the activities of the ICRC in the Republic.

The KGB of South Ossetia has provided statistics on state border violations in January

In January, 24 violators of border legislation were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, including 10 violators of the state border regime and 14 of the border regime. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic.

As noted by the department, the KGB Border Service conducted investigations into each violation of legal regimes.

“As a result, 21 violators were subject to administrative fines, and three were given official warnings,” the Committee has clarified.

South Ossetian authorities are working with their colleagues in the Russian Federation on the issue of new rules for foreign citizens at the state border

On behalf of President Alan Gagloev, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia sent the official note to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the exclusion of South Ossetia from the list of countries, the citizens of which will be subject to the provisions of the RF Government Resolution No. 1510 "On conducting an experiment to test the rules and conditions for entry into the Russian Federation and exit from the Russian Federation of foreign citizens and stateless persons."

Representatives of Parliament and the Central Election Commission of South Ossetia will be observing the presidential elections in Abkhazia

Members of Parliament and representatives of the Central Election Commission of South Ossetia will travel to Abkhazia as the international observers at the presidential elections.

As reported to IA “Res” by Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev, who will head the parliamentary delegation, the deputies will travel to Abkhazia at the invitation of Speaker of the Republic's Parliament Lasha Ashuba.
