A Serbian-made hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher was found in the village of Pris in Tskhinval district of South Ossetia, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
The sappers of the emergency department took the single-use grenade launcher to the training ground for subsequent disposal, the Ministry has specified.
Employees of the South Ossetian Embassy, headed by Ambassador Znaur Gassiev, visited the wounded participants of the special military operation in the Moscow hospital, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.
“Public figure and philanthropist Alexander Totoonov took part in the visit.
The Ambassador congratulated the soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Burdenko Hospital on Defender of the Fatherland Day and wished everyone peace and a speedy recovery,” the press service has noted.
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title Hero of Russia to the Ossetian native and Rosgvardia officer Marat Tibilov.
The Russian head of state presented the Gold Star to Tibilov at the gala reception in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, the press service of the Rosgvardia reports.
“Major Marat Tibilov has been performing service and combat missions on the front lines from the first day of the special military operation,” the press service has noted.
On Sunday, Tskhinval hosted the flower-laying ceremonies at the memorial complex to the fallen defenders of the Republic and the chapel at the memorial cemetery in the courtyard of school No. 5.
The events were dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the Republic's Defense Ministry.
