The delegation of the South Ossetian Parliament, which arrived to participate in the international observation of the preparation and holding of the presidential elections in Abkhazia, has met with Speaker of the People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic Lasha Ashuba. This was reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Parliament.

Opening the meeting, Speaker Lasha Ashuba welcomed the guests on behalf of the Abkhaz Parliament and thanked them for coming to support the fraternal people in such a significant political event for the republic.

Issues of interaction between South Ossetia and Venezuela were discussed by the Ambassadors of the two countries to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez, the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy reports.

It was noted that Znaur Gassiev had visited the Venezuelan mission in Moscow on Friday at the invitation of his colleague.

The international exhibition of food, beverages and raw materials for their production Prodexpo 2025 showed great interest in the exposition of South Ossetia, Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of South Ossetia noted, commenting on the results of the large-scale event held at the Moscow Expocentre.

Alan Gagloev noted the invaluable contribution of the riot police to ensuring security and order in the republic.

The first meeting of the year in the IPRM format is taking place on the border of South Ossetia and Georgia.

The main issue that the South Ossetian party has been raising for several years is the removal of the illegal Georgian police post set up on the territory of South Ossetia at the end of August 2019.

The meeting will consider incidents and possible provocations that have occurred since the previous meeting.
