The State Security Committee of South Ossetia is implementing a set of measures to suppress the activities of foreign special services to the detriment of the security of South Ossetia.

According to the press service of the department, within the framework of this work, was identified a resident of Leningor settlement, who maintained stable contacts with a representative of the Georgian special services, on whose instructions he collected and transmitted information regarding military personnel, as well as the socio-political situation in the border regions of the Republic.

114 cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in South Ossetia in a day

In South Ossetia, have been tested 198 people for COVID-19, 114 tests showed a positive result, the Republic's chief sanitary doctor Marina Kochieva told IA “Res” on Saturday.

“114 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in South Ossetia in a day. Since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15), 391 citizens fell ill” said Kochieva.

She has noted that 127 of them are in hospital, 23 people have recovered in South Ossetia since mid-September.

5 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in a day in South Ossetia. As reported to IA "Res" by chief sanitary doctor of the Republic Marina Kochieva, 277 cases of coronavirus have been detected in the Republic since September 15.

"To date, 84 patients are being treated at the hospital in the isolation ward of the RMMC in Tskhinval and at the children's hospital, while the rest are being treated on an outpatient basis," Kochieva said.

According to her, the total number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic is 367.
