A group of Russian scientists headed by director of the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Andrey Kibrik visited the South Ossetian State University, the press service of the university told IA “Res ”.

As noted by the University, as part of the visit, a meeting was held with the rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev.

“The detailed conversation took place on the issues of expanding further cooperation,” the press service has noted.

On Tuesday, the South Ossetian authorities expelled the Georgian citizen from the Republic who had previously violated the state border, the press service of the State Security Committee reported.

It is noted that South Ossetian border guards detained the border violator in September of this year in the vicinity of the village of Otreu in Tskhinval district

A meeting between South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and First Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliev took place in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Republic.

Gagloev and Nurgaliev discussed the issues of increasing the defense capability of the Republic and exchanged views on the regional security issues.

during the meeting, the issues of developing the Russian-South Ossetian relations in various areas were also discussed.

President Alan Gagloev has attended a concert of the North and the South Ossetian artists dedicated to the 250th anniversary of Ossetia's accession to Russia and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, which took place at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.

The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, the head of North Ossetia Sergei Menyailo, and other officials.
