The International Committee of the Red Cross's stay in South Ossetia has been extended for six months

The International Committee of the Red Cross's presence in South Ossetia has been extended for six months. The Cabinet of Ministers made the decision at the meeting on Wednesday.

The matter was submitted to the government by Acting Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev.

"The Red Cross has been carrying out significant humanitarian work in the Republic. In this regard, it is proposed to extend the organization's stay in South Ossetia," Dzhioev said.

Members of the government unanimously supported this decision.

"The Bow and Memory of Generations": Tskhinval Honored the Holocaust and the Siege of Leningrad Victims

The "Bow and Memory of Generations" event was held in Tskhinval to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Liberation of Leningrad Day.

The participants included representatives of the public, political forces in the Republic, relatives of the World War II veterans, and high school students from the city.

The event presented historical information about the Holocaust—the genocide of the Soviet people—as well as the information about the participation of the people of South Ossetia in military operations and in providing assistance to the front.

The Order of Courage for theHero: the Alania Battalion fighter Sergei Kabisov awarded posthumously

The family of Sergei Kabisov, a fighter of the Alania volunteer battalion and call sign "CORAL," has received the Order of Courage.

This high state award was posthumously conferred upon the hero by decree of the President of the Russian Federation for his dedication, courage, and bravery displayed in the line of duty during the special military operation.

The solemn and mournful award presentation ceremony took place in the presence of the military officials and fellow soldiers.
