Parliamentarians of South Ossetia discussed with Russian colleagues the issue of the coming into force of the agreement on dual citizenship
The issue of the agreement on dual citizenship was discussed on Friday at the meeting of the Commission on inter-parliamentary cooperation in Tskhinval.
South Ossetia paid last tributes to the volunteer Ivan Elbakiev, perished heroically during a special military operation in Ukraine.
Condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased were expressed by Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Interior Minister Valery Gazzaev and other officials, the staff of the Defense Ministry, colleagues and friends of the deceased.
Many kind words were said about Ivan Elbakiev, his personality, work activity and achievements in the service.
The issue of implementation of the Alliance and Integration Treaty signed between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia was discussed at the meeting of the commission on inter-parliamentary cooperation in Tskhinval.
The co-chair of the South Ossetian part of the commission, Zaza Dryaev, has noted that after the signing of the “Treaty of Alliance and Integration between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation” in 2015, more than 30 agreements were ratified.
President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev expressed gratitude to the Russian side for their support in resolving the issue at the Lower Zaramag checkpoint, which has been worrying the citizens of the Republic for a long time.
He has stated this during a meeting with a delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, headed by Sergei Tsekov, a member of the RF Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, who arrived in the Republic to participate in a meeting of a joint commission on inter-parliamentary cooperation.
A delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation consisting of four senators is arriving in South Ossetia. On Friday, November 18, a meeting of the joint Commission on Inter-parliamentary Cooperation between the Parliament of South Ossetia and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation will be held in Tskhinval.
Zaza Dryaev, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, has noted that the delegation will be headed by Co-chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission Sergei Tsekov.
The Geneva discussions are the only international platform where South Ossetia has the opportunity to discuss various issues, - said Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Akhsar Dzhioev.
“The Geneva discussions are our only international platform, which since 2008 is a place where our side, like our partners from Abkhazia with the support of Russia and other international institutions, has the opportunity to discuss various issues,” said Dzhioev.
The issue of an agreement on dual citizenship was discussed at the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, and intensive work is underway on it, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Akhsar Dzhioev said at the press conference in the Sputnik-South Ossetia press center.
In October, 28 violators of the law in the border area were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, according to the website of the State Security Committee of the Republic.
"Of them: 4 are violators of the regime of the state border, 24 - of the frontier regime," the KGB noted.
The Border Service of the State Security Committee conducted proceedings on each fact of violation of legal regimes.
On the occasion of the Day of Courage and National Unity - November 23, a number of events will be held in South Ossetia.
As IA “Res” has been informed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic, on November 21, a book and illustration exhibition will be opened in the Republican Youth Library.

Prime Minister of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev met with Deputy Chairman of the Property Relations Committee of St. Petersburg Kirill Fedorov. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Committee of State Property and Land Relations of the Republic Sergey Parastaev.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the topic of the meeting was the development of the system of management and disposal of state property, as well as land relations in the Republic of South Ossetia.
