President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the delegation of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania headed by the Chairman of the Parliament of North Ossetia-Alania Alexei Machnev, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations in honor of the Republic Day of South Ossetia. This was reported by the press service of the President.

The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the RSO Parliament Alan Alborov and Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Alexander Pliev.

On September 20, 2016, the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership was signed between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RSO, on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, which arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the festive events dedicated to the Day of the Republic, the press service of the head of state reports.

The delegation has included: Advisor to the Mayor of the city of Cherkessk Alexei Statsenko, Deputy of the Duma of the city Cherkessk Albert Dzugaev, Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Eduard Khugaev.

On Monday, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev signed a decree awarding Akhmat (Ruslan) Zaseev with the medal "Defender of the Fatherland" posthumously.

According to the press service of the defense department of the Republic, the memory of one of the sons of Ossetia, the most worthy representative of his nation and surname, was honored by the Defense Minister, Guards Colonel Marat Pavlov, with the servicemen of the department.

As part of the delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister Natalya Mikhailova, Deputy of the People's Council Vasily Pertsev, representative of the head of the DPR in the People's Council Alexei Sukhinin arrived in South Ossetia.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of South Ossetia Sergey Kudziev.
