THE COMMENT

According to the reached arrangement between the heads of the South-Ossetian and the Georgian parts of JCC on January, 23rd, 2007 in Tskhinval it should take place the meeting, devoted to the questions of payment of the accounts receivable at a rate of more than 33 million roubles for the consumed electric power by the settlements of South Ossetia Republic mainly with the Georgian population, and also the supplying with an electric power from Georgia the ossetian villages of the Tskhinvalskiy and Leningorskiy areas.

THE STATEMENT OF THE SOUTH-OSSETIAN PART OF THE JOINT CONTROL COMMISSION ON SETTLEMENT OF THE GEORGIAN-OSSETIAN CONFLICT

The South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission marks, that lately the situation in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict has again become aggravated.
The Georgian party, continuing supporting the failure of the peace-making operation, leaves without reaction such incidents and crimes as the subversive and terrorist acts against the military men of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the zone of the conflict.

SOUTH OSSETIA HAS SUGGESTED GEORGIA TO HOLD A MEETING OF THE POWERMEN

As the correspondent of the agency \"Res\" has been informed at the information-analytical department of the south-ossetian part of the Mixed Supervisory Commission, the head of the south-ossetian part of the Mixed Supervisory Commission on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict (Mixed Supervisory Commission) Boris Chochiev has sent a letter to the State minister on settlement of conflicts of Georgia, the co-chairman of the Mixed Supervisory Commission from the Georgian party Merab Antadze, in which, in particular, it is spoken: «The south-ossetian part of the Mixed Supervisory Commission has received a letter from the Republican Association \"Power\" about the accounts receivable on payment for the consumed electric power by the companies of Bolshaya Liahva and Malaya Liakhva.

On the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia S.V. Lavrov with the President of South Ossetia E.D. Kokoity
On 19 January a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs S.V. Lavrov with the President of South Ossetia E.D. Kokoity, who is in Moscow on business trip, took place.
During the meeting S.V. Lavrov and E.D. Kokoity discussed the situation in South Ossetia, a range of issues related to further development of the negotiation process on the Georgian-Ossetian conflict resolution. The sides noted the need to take urgent and effective measures to find a way out of the prolonged deadlock in the negotiation process. They agree that lack of positive dynamics in this process could be a destabilizing factor for South Ossetia and for the whole region, could intensify confrontation, including armed, in the conflict zone.

THE MESSAGE OF THE JOINED STAFF OF THE MIXED FORCES ON PEACEKEEPING IN THE GEORGIAN-OSSETIAN CONFLICT ZONE

The mass-media of Georgia have spread the information, ostensibly on the fact of blocking by the observant post of the peace-making forces \"Spider\" of the roundabout road Eredvi-Heiti, which connects the gorges of Small and Big Liakhva and leads to the georgian-populated villages of the northern enclave. Also, there has been spread the information on blocking by the military men of the check point of the peace-making forces of the Transcaucasian main site, passing through the villages with the Georgian population Tamarasheni-Kekhvi.
