The Georgian mass-media have spread the information, that the Georgian side has developed new suggestions with the purpose of a full-scale settlement of the conflict in South Ossetia. In this occasion the correspondent of «Res» has addressed the Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government of South Ossetia Republic, the co-chairman of the south-ossetian part of JCC Boris Chochiev for comments:
In the capital of South Ossetia Republic, in Tskhinval, took place the meeting of the co-chairmen of JCC on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict, of Boris Chochiev from the south-ossetian party and Merab Antadze from the Georgian party.
The Georgian side artificially continues creating intensity in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict. So, late at night yesterday, on the way through the Georgian settlements the illegal Georgian posts have tried to detain Boris Chochiev, the co-chairman of JCC from the south-ossetian party, having a diplomatic immunity. Boris Chochiev went to Dzhava region and was accompanied by the peacemakers and the military observers.
On March, 4th, 2007 in the Republic of Abkhazia took place the elections of the deputies of the National Assembly, the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia.
On March, 4th, approximately at 20:00pm, the Georgian side has subjected to massed shelling the ossetian village Pris and the post of the law enforcement bodies of South Ossetia Republic, located nearby. The press-service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia Republic informs about it.
On February, 28th, 2007 the representatives of the international nongovernmental organization «Saferworld»: Robert Parker, the director of the department of Europe, and Malgozhata Vasilevska, the senior coordinator of projects, engaged in security issues and the prevention of the illegal circulation of light and small arms, have made a visit to South Ossetia Republic. Within the limits of the visit took place the meeting of the representatives of «Saferworld» with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Republic M.K.Dzhioev and the Head of the Apparatus of the Co-chairman of the South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict L.H.Tibilov.
According to the information of the department on public relations of the Committee on State Security of South Ossetia Republic, the Georgian party prepares a number of provocations in relation to the peace citizens of South Ossetia Republic, moving on the roads, controllable by the Georgian armed formations in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict. The basic purpose is the discredit of the citizens of ossetian nationality in opinion of the world community.
The meeting of the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Republic M.K.Dzhioev and the Head of the Apparatus of the Co-chairman of the South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission L.H. Tibilov with the delegation of representation of the USA in OSCE, which has been presented by Jeff VanDriel, the head of the department on resource management, and Chris Sibyl, the officer on political questions, has taken place.
According to information of the department of public relations of the south-ossetian Committee of State Security, several provocations against inhabitants of South Ossetia Republic are being prepared by Georgian side on the roads which are controlled by the Georgian militarized formations.
\"The visits of the first persons of Georgia of the territory of South Ossetia Republic are an intervention into the internal affairs of an independent state\". The Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Republic Murat Dzhioev has declared about it, making comments on the visit of the prime minister of Georgia Zurab Nogaideli of the georgian-populated villages of South Ossetia.
