The Attorney General of Georgia promised to clarify the fate of the missing citizens of the RSO

On May 31 General Prosecutor of Georgia Archil Kbilashvili during a meeting with the relatives of the missing citizens of South Ossetia promised to resume the investigation and apply all efforts to clarify their fate. As IA "Res" was informed by Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights of South Ossetia Inal Tasoev, the meeting had been organized with the assistance of the OSCE Representative Andria Deshchitsa.

During the last week the situation at the state border between the Republic of South Ossetia and Georgia has seriously worsened.
The Georgian authorities, misinforming the population that in some areas South Ossetia "a few hundred metres moved the border line deep into the Georgian territory," incite the residents of the settlements, bordering on South Ossetia, to provocations.

The program "Days of the Ossetian culture in Europe" opened in Belgium

May 30 in Brussels has started the Belgian program "Days of the Ossetian culture in Europe." As the news agency "Res" was informed by one of the organizers of the program - the head of the International non-profit association «Renaissance Sandidzan» Radion Pukhaev, the events had begun with a round table discussion on a topic "The Bridges of Cooperation."
According to him, the roundtable is attended by artists, journalists, filmmakers, writers, actors, public figures, representatives of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and the Republic of South Ossetia, Ossetian diaspora in Europe.

The ICRC in South Ossetia will open a summer school on International Humanitarian Law

The Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in South Ossetia plans to open a summer school on the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in Tskhinval. As the correspondent of IA "Res" has been informed at the ICRC office in Tskhinval, the school program is designed for four days - June 1-4.
"The opening of the school is dedicated to the International Day of the Child and is designed for schoolchildren of South Ossetia aged 12-16. February 15 it was held a writing competition, by the results of which were selected 26 schoolchildren out of 32 ones, "- explained the head of the ICRC press service Marina Tedety.
During the classes the schoolchildren will become familiar with the basic concepts of the international humanitarian law, the history of the International Committee of the Red Cross. They will learn about the ICRC activities to clarify the fate of the missing citizens of South Ossetia and other programs.
