President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has received a delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by Minister of Justice Anri Bartsits, who arrived in Tskhinval to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, the press service of the head of state reports.

Greeting the guests, the President has noted that the history of South Ossetia and Abkhazia is riddled with tragic events, but the peoples managed to defend their right to live in their native land.

As part of the delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister Natalya Mikhailova, Deputy of the People's Council Vasily Pertsev, representative of the head of the DPR in the People's Council Alexei Sukhinin arrived in South Ossetia.

Alan Gagloev thanked the guests for their visit to South Ossetia.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of South Ossetia Sergey Kudziev.

A military parade in honor of the Republic Day celebration took place on the Theater Square of the capital of South Ossetia on Tuesday.
The ceremony was attended by President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Chairman of the Parliament Alan Alborov, ex-President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, Advisor Envoy of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia Alexander Zhurov, members of the government of the Republic.

In connection with the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia sent a press release to all diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation, as well as to the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland. President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with the combatants from Luhansk, Donetsk and Abkhazia, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the Day of the State Flag and the Day of the Republic.

“The people of South Ossetia gained independence at the cost of heavy losses, but today we are celebrating the day of the State Flag of the Republic, and thank you for being with us today,” the head of state said at the meeting with combatants.

Participants in the hostilities from Luhansk, Donetsk and Abkhazia arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the next anniversary of the formation of the Republic.

As Madina Plieva, the head of the Fund for the wounded who became disabled during the hostilities in South Ossetia from 1989-2008, told IA “Res”, about 15 guys arrived in the Republic and will take part in all the festive events.

The solemn ceremony of raising the state flag took place on Monday on the Theater Square in Tskhinval. The event continued with a concert program with the participation of the South Ossetian artists and schoolchildren.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev congratulated the residents of the Republic on the Day of the State Flag, which is celebrated in the Republic on September 19.

The South Ossetian State University will host the international student video conference "South Ossetia - Russia - Syria: together towards peace", dedicated to the Republic Day. This was reported to IA "Res" by the vice-rector of the University for educational and career guidance Inna Tskhovrebova.
