President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has received credentials from the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic Jesus Rafael Salazar Velazquez, the press service of the head of state reports.

The official award ceremony took place today in Tskhinval, in the large hall of the Presidential Executive Office of South Ossetia.

At the end of the official part, the parties discussed further ways of bilateral cooperation.

As part of a working trip to South Ossetia, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasque met with the rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev, the press service of the university reports.

During the meeting, the issue of signing a cooperation agreement with the leading classical universities of Venezuela was discussed.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Andrey Tskhovrebov has received Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic Jesús Rafael Salazar Velasquez.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, the ambassador presented copies of his credentials to the first Deputy Minister.

On Thursday, at the session, parliamentarians of South Ossetia unanimously supported the appeal of the State Duma of Russia to the UN General Assembly, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the European Parliament and the parliaments of the countries of the world about the threat to peace and stability in Europe coming from Ukraine.

The question was brought to the session by the first Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Peter Gassiev.

Deputies of the State Duma of Russia adopted the appeal on the threat to peace and stability in Europe posed by Ukraine on September 21.

South Ossetia, in conditions of the unstable international situation, relies only on the Russian Federation and its armed forces. South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev has stated this during the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which took place on Tuesday in Moscow.

Preparations are underway for the visit to Moscow of the Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic Alan Alborov on the invitation of the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin

Russia will be actively assisting South Ossetia in the implementation of the Republic's socio-economic development program, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the meeting with thr South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev.

Negotiations between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov took place in Moscow on Tuesday, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia reports.

"The parties exchanged views on topical issues on the bilateral political agenda and prospects for further strengthening cooperation in various areas of the South Ossetian-Russian interstate cooperation.

The talks were held in the atmosphere of openness, friendship and mutual understanding," the press service said.

Presidium of the Parliament of South Ossetia unanimously approved the appeal of the State Duma of Russia to the UN General Assembly, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the European Parliament and the parliaments of the countries of the world about the threat to peace and stability in Europe posed by Ukraine and submitted the issue to the session on Thursday.

The artistic director of the Ulyanovsk Theater for Young Spectators Eduard Terekhov and the artistic director of the State Drama Theater of South Ossetia Tamerlan Dzudtsov spoke at the press conference in Tskhinval about the plans for cooperation between the two temples of Melpomene.

The speakers also shared with journalists the results of the last tour of the Ulyanovsk Theater in Tskhinval.

Eduard Terekhov told about the friendship between the two theaters – the Ulyanovsk and the South Ossetia, and also shared his further creative plans.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev posthumously awarded the leader of the national movement "Adamon Nykhas" Alan Chochiev with the Order of "Watsamonga" for outstanding services in the formation of the Republic, strengthening independence and protecting territorial integrity.

The President handed over the highest state award to his son Atsamaz and the grandchildren of the outstanding political figure.
